Wow what an incredible experience with Bang! We did a lot of research to try and find an ethical sanctuary and I'm elated that we found this. The elephants are obviously very well taken care of and loved. I'm also so happy that Bang was so vulnerable and shared his life story with us. It is deeply moving and you can feel the weight of responsibility and meaning he derives from working with the elephants and supporting the whole community with the sanctuary.

Thank you The Elephant Sanctuary in Krabi Thailand for your heart in rescuing these gentle giants🥹 This sanctuary is INDEED A SANCTUARY; no riding the elephants, no hitting the elephants. from hurt & traumatized animals, they're now being loved and cared for. Let's support this kind of project instead of those who only use the elephants for circus, for forced labor and for being just a cash cow.

Not all heroes wear capes!A visit to The Elephant Sanctuary Krabi is more than just an experience – it’s a journey into the heart of true animal welfare and human compassion. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear that this place is built on love, respect, and deep dedication. The elephants live in peaceful surroundings, where they can roam freely, bathe, and simply be elephants – without chains or force. What truly sets this place apart is the beautiful story behind it. Each elephant has its own background, and the staff know and respect them as individuals. You can feel the soul in their work – this is no tourist trap, but a genuine sanctuary filled with heart.Importantly, the money doesn't just go to the elephants. It also supports the local people who work closely with the animals every day, helping to expand the land so the elephants can continue to live freely in nature. Not all heroes wear capes – some wear muddy boots and dedicate their lives to making a difference for those who cannot speak for themselves. If you love animals and want to support a real, sustainable, and heartwarming project, then The Elephant Sanctuary Krabi is an absolute must visit!Sincerely Alan & Karina

Visited in June 2025, it was amazing! Bang and the entire elephant "family" was knowledgeable, so kind, happy, helpful- everything! Best day of our Thailand trip! The sanctuary is a true sanctuary providing a loving and free home for the elephants. We met Noi, Nom Nom and Boo Boo. An amazing experience that I would do again!

Visiting this elephant sanctuary was an unforgettable and heartwarming experience. What sets it apart is its deep commitment to the well-being and freedom of the elephants. Unlike many other places, there is no elephant riding here, and the animals are not kept in small enclosures. Instead, they roam freely in open spaces, surrounded by nature, love, and genuine respect. You can truly feel the sanctuary’s dedication to creating a peaceful and safe environment where elephants can simply be elephants. It was inspiring to see how they are cared for with kindness and allowed to live in harmony, without exploitation.

Whilst in the area we decided to stop by a rather hidden away Elephant Sanctuary. We didn't make any reservations ahead of time, but the staff were very friendly and offered us to feed the elephant prior to her being taken back to the jungle. It was a true elephant sanctuary with the team taking care of their elephants, not driven by making revenue but we were happy to support them donating for the elephants food.
